I hear voices! - Auditory Hallucinations

So hard to explain when you're hearing voices though no one is there. So weird and oh-so scary. But don't panic, it's not a ghost. Hearing some voices is a form of hallucination called Auditory Hallucination (also known as paracusia). Just like other kind of hallucination, the possible causes of this is having a physical illness and side-effects of medication. This may be associated with psychotic disorders such as schizophrenia or using of high doses of drugs like cocaine, amphetamine and other stimulants. .

You can tell if the person may be having this hallucinations is when they talk to themselves and then they pause, as though waiting for someone else to finish what they are saying before continuing. But not everyone who talks to themselves is having hallucination. A person who have a auditory hallucination may hear primitive voices such claps, screams, whistles and others to music or speech. Sometimes that person may recognize the voice as one of a family member or deceased relative and sometimes strange voices or even God. The voices can be originate from everywhere like trees, ground, walls and anything that may gave sound or voices.

Trivia: Did you know that Joan of Arc claimed to hear voices from Saints. And she believed that the voices she heard  were sent directly from God.
